Abstract
This paper considers the sliding mode control design problem for a nonlinear control system, and a new third-order sliding mode control approach is proposed. The advantage of the third-order sliding mode control lies in that the uncertainty of the nonlinear system can be bounded by a positive function rather than a constant. Then, the finite-time stability analysis is also proposed. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
