Abstract
In this paper, the outage probability performance of the parallel relay-assisted FSO communication system is analyzed. Firstly, a new aggregated channel fading model is established, which includes atmospheric attenuation, M-distributed atmospheric turbulence and nonzero boresight pointing error. After that, the statistical characteristics of the aggregated channel are analyzed. Under the aggregated channel model, a closed-form expression of the outage probability is derived. Finally, numerical results show that the derived theoretical expression of the outage probability is quite accurate and can provide sufficient precision for evaluating the outage performance.
