  • Abstract
An approach is presented for the integral equation (IE) analysis of printed structures, based on the definition of multiresolution vector functions. This work concentrates on the case of a mesh with rectangular cells. Because of the complexity of the analysed geometries, a decomposition of the whole structure in a suitable number of rectangular subdomains is needed and the type of functions used for the connection of these subdomains affects the properties of the resulting MoM impedance matrix. Two different schemes are presented and compared in terms of the condition number of the MoM matrix, achievable level of sparsification and speed of convergence of iterative methods for the solution of the linear system.
