  • Abstract
Due to the homogeneity of cellular and the simplicity of algorithm, traditional CA modeling is weak in the simulation of social complexity which mainly contains the psychological and cultural factors of traffic participants. In order to involve social behavior factors into the engineering design of road intersections, a multi-level Agent model of road Intersection is established in this paper based on the analysis of social complexity of traffic system and the theory of planned behavior. The social complexity characters are reflected by Agents at different levels while synergy method of multi-Agents is used to achieve the traffic operation in the road interaction. This model effectively enriches the description and simulation of social complexity of CA model with improved structure of different cellular and their synergy mechanism.
