Abstract
This paper proposes a novel method on moving target vibration estimation in high resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR). Analogous with stochastic resonance technique, chirp modulation is first artificially applied to the focused moving target signals containing paired echoes along the azimuth direction. Then the target is processed with autofocus, and phase error caused by vibration is estimated, and consequently the vibration parameters are calculated based on the phase error. Simulation and experiment results with real airborne SAR data validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
