Abstract
This paper introduces a novel methodology for efficient, broadband electromagnetic scattering analysis for arbitrary incident waves. The proposed methodology uses the finite element method and model on reduction techniques to generate an equivalent global impedance signature (EGIS) of the scatterer, valid over the entire frequency bandwidth of interest and independent of the excitation. Once generated, EGIS can be used to predict scattering at any frequency of interest and for arbitrary excitation.
