Abstract
This paper describes the propagation characteristics of graphene-based rectangular waveguide. By using mode-matching technique, the guide-wave characteristics of graphene-based waveguides are studies in details with boundary condition defined. It is found that the graphene-based waveguide has low attenuation when frequency beyond its cutoff frequency. It is also demonstrated that hybrid modes (simultaneous transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic (TM) modes) are able to propagate inside the waveguide when an external magnetostatic bias is applied to the graphene.
