  • Abstract
    This paper describes characteristics of the surface charging on a conical insulating spacer that has various contact angles with a plane cathode. The charging was studied by measuring electric field at the cathode. The results were compared with theoretically predicted values based on the secondary emission electron avalanche mechanism
