  • Abstract
    Short circuit measurement for commutating segment of DC motor with low voltage and high current is a recognized difficult problem in measurement field, and the study of it has important practical significance. By taking the electric forklift´s DC motor as the research object, this paper proposes a novel and fast determination method for the short circuit measurement of commutating segment of DC motor with low voltage and high current by using AC millvoltmeter. The proposed measurement method adopts the small single-phase transformers and high-power diode as the single power. Several testing and practical applications have shown that proposed measurement method is simple, rapid, accurate, and well positioned to meet the needs of a variety of practical engineering.
