Abstract
A new approach of using neural networks in conjunction with the joint probability data association (JPDA) filter to solve the multiple target tracking problem is introduced. An algorithm is designed to deal with maneuvering targets. Simulation results show that the new algorithm is effective in separating closely-spaced targets as well as reducing the tracking error as compared to the conventional JPDA filter
