Abstract
This paper introduces skew fractional Brownian motion (sfBm) as a discrete stochastic process that models InSAR elevation data. First, we consider fBm topography and SAR sampling geometry to obtain the sfBm model. Next, we describe a method to estimate Hurst parameter of the fBm topography from the sfBm elevation data. Last, we present some experimental results with simulated and actual data that verify the use of sfBm to model InSAR elevation data.
