Abstract

In process industries, advanced distributed control systems (DCS) and management information systems (MIS) have been installed and are running. However, they do not have a function to make use of these data for fault diagnosis, forecasting, and process operation optimization. A high level intelligent system is required to integrate knowledge-based systems with DCS and MIS for online real-time applications. In this paper, the architecture of the integrated distributed intelligent multimedia system is presented, the implementation issues of the integrated distributed intelligent multimedia system are explained, an application of the integrated distributed intelligent multimedia system is given. Finally, the conclusions are obtained
