Abstract
The authors present a new blind channel identification method based on second order cyclostationary statistics. They first derive the magnitude of the channel transfer function from the power spectral density or the cepstrum of cyclic spectra. They then reconstruct the channel phase based on the cyclic spectra alone. They analyze the phase estimation error for arbitrary channels. Computer simulation illustrates the effectiveness of both methods in identifying channel impulse response
