Abstract
After political situation in South-East Europe calmed down, better cooperation conditions are initiated between countries in the region. Power sector is extremely important for development of every single country. Also, numerous organizational and structural changes make impact to bulk power systems all over the world. According to new issues, there is a need to make a better cooperation and interconnection between countries in the region. This paper presents the electricity supply and demand in past ten years in Southeast European countries. In order to understand problems concerning necessary future investments and operational constrains focus is given on regional balance for the year 2001.
