Abstract
The increasing sophistication of information technology equipment (IT) and automated industrial systems and their increased performance levels, require constant and high quality electrical power supply. But electrical energy has disturbances (transients, sags/brownouts, frequency variations, blackouts) which remain frequent because it isn´t technically feasible to eliminate them completely. The UPS is one solution for these disturbances, and with options of remote monitoring and signalling they represent a key element in high quality electric power installations.
