  • Abstract
    The difference between implementation of ideas on how cognitive processes run in natural systems and how they may run in artificial ones and between embodiment of these ideas into artificially created systems is sketched and illustrated by several experimental examples. These systems are equipped with sensors providing signals for them, with units for processing signals and perhaps compute the decisions, and with actuators for making changes in their environments. They are situated and working continuously in real, dynamic, and noisy environments.
