Abstract
A method is proposed for solving the stereo-matching problem by incrementally deforming one of the images to make it more similar to the other image. The result of this deformation process is a dense displacement field, (disparity map) which for any point in one image defines its corresponding point in the other image of the stereo pair. Preliminary experimental results are reported.
