Perfecting the Maritime Navigation information services of the European Union

In this paper, there are presented and discussed the issues regarding the perfection of the Information Services of the Maritime Navigation. Although the today development’s level of information and communications technology (ICT) allow to solve almost every hardware and software issue of information systems, nevertheless there exist very many issues of the maritime navigation information services that considerable impede the safety, security and efficiency of the maritime transport and the protection of the marine environment. The reasons of the above situation is a huge and permanent increase of the kinds and amounts of maritime information that must be taken into account during the realization process of maritime navigation.
