Transmission System Operator´s market functions implementation based on Service Oriented Architecture and Business Process Management

Constant development of Transmission System Operator´s (TSO) market functions calls for a flexible IT solutions that can cope with constant changes and upgrades, and in the same time provide efficient alternative to traditional approaches. Implementation of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Business Process Management (BPM) within the TSO enterprise is presented in the paper. Model for operational reserves procurement using SOA and BPM is described and elaborated.
