Abstract
The article discusses the paradox of having health workers practicing modern medicine with backward medical technologies or equipments in most developing countries, and the possible solutions like donations. It is suggested that second hand or low-cost equipments and supplies or donated equipments, supplies and medicines, do play a major role in maintaining or improving patient care in many health facilities.
