Abstract
We present a new approach for computer-assisted diagnosis of the orthostatic regulatory disorders of the human circulatory system. Petri nets are used as an aid for modeling and simulation of the diagnosis process. The diagnosis is based on measurements of the heart rate (HR) and of the mean arterial blood pressure (MAP) of the patient while resting and in the upright position.
