Abstract
Power transformers are the most expensive and important equipments in power stations. Therefore, their safe operation and life extension are dominant targets for electricity suppliers. By promoting modern techniques and modern equipments of monitoring and diagnosing the transformers degradation can be monitored over time. Fault identification allows to prevent serious events and consequently to minimize the electricity outages and repairing costs. This paper gives basic instructions and presents objective functions regarding preventive maintenance optimization.
