Abstract
In order to assist a driver in handling of a vehicle in different road conditions, a controller is developed using a closed-form optimization solution. The stability, performance, and limitation of the controller are studied through the concept of state-derivative feedback control systems. Using Carsim software and simulations, it is shown that the controller significantly improves the handling performance of the vehicle.
