Abstract
Pole placement by constant output feedback for single-input single-output, linear, time-invariant systems is considered. Root-loci intercepts with domain boundary for a general class of desirable closed-loop pole locations are computed using a single generalized-eigenvalues problem based on state-space representations. Suitable output feedback gain intervals can be determined without graphics.
