Investigation the modified priority queuing method based on virtualized network test bed

In this paper the method of prioritized queue processing MPQ (modified priority-based queuing) is investigated. This method allows fulfilling QoS requirements for packets of real-time flows that have sustained some particular degree of the delay en-route. In order to test this method, the test bed that consists of virtual routers and traffic generators has been developed. Running experiments on this test bed shows that MPQ equalizes traffic delay by smoothing the delay bursts and ensuring minimal latency for the packets with the critical delay.
