Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. The complete presentation was not made available for publication as part of the conference proceedings. Employment in the technology sector is expected to become increasingly important to the world economy, but where are all these graduates going to come from and how will they be trained? There are still many more men than women in technology: how can educators improve the balance? Technologists need to work with other professions: how can their communicator skills be improved? Will the supply of postgraduate training positions meet demand? What is the role of on-line education, e-learning, Massive Open On-line Courses (MOOCs) in technology education? The panel invites Prof. Frank Wang to deliver a 50-minute-talk titled "How will computers evolve over the next 10 years?" After that, each other panel members will make a 10 minutes presentation on the topic. The audience will be invited to make a comment, raise a point, highlight an issue, or ask a question from the panelists, which is likely to generate further discussion/questions.
