  • Abstract
The researcher in the current study has adopted digital watermarking as a technique based on method which operates in the frequency domain, embeds a watermark bits in a selected set of DCT coefficients using high-pass filter. Moreover, zonal sampling method was used to fix the watermark technique into high-pass filter coefficients of a cover image. The findings of this study revealed that the watermark is reliable in terms of arithmetic threats. By using SSPCE (single step parallel contour extraction), the original image can be extracted easily. The researcher has used the mean square error, signal-to-noise ratio criterions and compression ratio (or bit per pixel) for comparing the results.
