Keynote 3: HYDROS project: From flying boat to energy efficiency

90% of products trade are done across the seas, being the 5th largest polluting source worldwide. What is the energy scheme of a boat? How is this energy used and what are the domains to be improved? We will follow the energy stream, from storage to electrical energy and then to kinetic energy. Besides, we will describe the benefits resulting from top level competition like the America´s Cup, in particular tools developed allowing to have flying boats, but as well enabling efficiency gain of up to 50% for some other boats.
