Abstract
Automated measurement of depth information of any object from the images acquired is a requirement in many industries. The object for which, the depth information is to be measured is exposed to an image sensor after illuminating it with a specific kind of pattern from a Digital Light Processing (DLP) Projector. A reconstruction algorithm is applied on the images acquired from the sensor, which will give a measure of the depth. The proposed setup and algorithm allows fast reconstruction and filtering of spatial data. The result shows that, the depth of the object calculated from the reconstruction algorithm almost matches the actual depth physically calculated on the object.
