  • Abstract
    Energy saving strategy in liquid desiccant dehumidifier is presented in this study. The energy models of the components from the dehumidifier are developed by the Support Vector Machine method. To minimize the energy usage of the dehumidifier, an optimization problem is formulated by considering the energy consumption of the system as the objective function. Desiccant solution temperature and flow rate are the two control settings. Genetic algorithm is employed to solve the optimization problem. Results show that energy efficiency of the liquid desiccant dehumidifier can be much improved by using the proposed energy saving strategy.
