  • Abstract
    The research of hypersonic gliding lifting body vehicle is so complicated that its aerodynamic characteristics prediction is very time-consuming. To solve the problem, the parametric design method based on class function/shape function transformation and power function is employed, and a lifting body shape with five configuration parameters which is convenient for analysis and design is proposed. At the same time, we calculate hypersonic aerodynamic based on panel element with kinds of engineering-estimation methods according to compression or expansion elements. Compared with numerical computation results, the fast computation we used was high efficient and sufficiently accurate for engineering demand, even more important, we summarize the best method combination for typical configuration. The investigation shows that the fast computation method consist of configuration parameters and hypersonic aerodynamic estimation based on panel element can give better results for hypersonic gliding lifting body design and optimization problems.
