  • Abstract
In order to enable smart grid functionalities at distribution level, this paper proposes a model framework of home energy management systems integrated with demand response. This model presents more efficient voltage control and distribution automation achievement. An agent-based framework used for distribution automation with demand participation which allows evaluating various components of further power system or smart grid including distributed generators, microgrids, and distribution intelligence. The model proposed here mainly focuses on large scale of domestic loads seeking to gain the maximum benefits from DR execution in distribution network operator´s side. Moreover, some solutions are suggested to overcome emergency demand reduction conditions or electricity power network jeopardize.
