Abstract
We present the theoretical and numerical analysis of lasing action in a surface plasmon distributed feedback laser. We find a lasing threshold and other characteristics of the surface plasmon laser. Our calculations demonstrate that for certain parameters the lasing threshold nonmonotonically varies with the losses in the optical cavity.
