An Assessment System for Student´s Physical Expression in Nature Sound Ensemble with Narrative Pictures

In this paper, we present a nature sound ensemble system with picture episode. Especially, we focus on a supportive function for assessing student´s activity through the ensemble performance using our system. In the music lesson at elementary school, it is important to develop student´s abilities in collaboration and creativity in expression, however, it is deemed that many teachers feel difficulties for assessing them objectively, since the clear standards for it has not been established. In this study, we design a visualization function of the student´s expression in a series of physical movements through the ensemble performance, and evaluate the feasibility of our system using prototype.
