Validation of an IT value model for branchless banking

The purpose of this study is to validate IT value model for branchless banking. The model is developed based on a Resource-Based View (RBV) theory. The IT value model validation process is carried out by dynamic PAV. The validation process is conducted by comparing the average performance ratio between two-factor (without IT) and three-factor (with IT) models. The empirical analysis examines the performance ratio for three-factor model is higher than two-factor model. Therefore, IT value model for branchless banking is valid. The study contributes to the growing body of linking IT and resources-based view especially in Branchless banking sector.
