  • Abstract
    The fifth generation of cellular wireless networks is envisaged to overcome existing challenges cellular networks such as higher rates, great performance. Moreover, indeed, 5G will need to be a paradigm shift that includes high carrier frequencies with massive bandwidths, extreme base station and device densities and unprecedented numbers of antennas. This paper discusses these topics. Furthermore, it introduces a new architecture distributed networks based on Cloud Radio Access Network (C-RAN) as discussed in a former work. This has providing high performance environment best matched with mobile broadband and with a less cost. The GFDM technique, as a main difference between novel generations, will be presented. In fact, because of spectrum capacity efficiency, GFDM offers a higher bit rate. By the occasion, massive MIMO technique will be slightly described. Based on D2D, GFDM, the concept of caching in 5G will be also studied.
