Abstract
The increased penetration of electric vehicle (EVs) may results in voltage rise or drop at the distribution node (DN). If EVs are charged at a place to be called as charging station (CS), the vehicle to grid (V2G) concept can be easily achieved. This paper presents an active and reactive power control in V2G system based on node voltage variations and energy availability of EVs´ batteries. It addresses the problem of voltage rise or drop that occurs in real time, due to the sudden arrival and departure of EVs. Voltage profile evaluations have been done with active and reactive power considering a large fleet of EVs to foresee the CS behavior. Finally, validation of the study is carried out using a realistic distribution system of a typical city considering 100 EVs of different battery ratings connected at the DN via CS.
