  • Abstract
    In this paper, we present a multi-stage linear-phase comb based decimation filter. The proposed filter design is based on combination of known techniques for the improvement of the classical comb filter characteristic: cascading of the sections, compensation, zero rotation and sharpening. Performances of the proposed filter are illustrated by means of several examples. Improvement in the stop-band behavior of the proposed filter comparing to corresponding classical comb and recently published CIC FIR filter design is achieved. Also, the pass-band droop is significantly reduced.
