Abstract
A destruction-resistant on-demand routing (DODR) protocol for low earth orbit (LEO) satellite network based on local repair is proposed and evaluated in this paper. The protocol uses route reply (RREP) packets in path discovery process and a local repair strategy to repair a broken path quickly with low overhead, which is significant for real time data. The simulation results show that DODR has a better performance on packet loss rate and end-to-end delay with negligible overhead even in the scenario where links and satellite nodes break down frequently.
