Abstract
This paper proposes a suitable control method for permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) traction system in high speed train under passing neutral section condition, which drops torque command to zero and keeps d-axis current order. Its influences on the traction system are simulated and compared based on a co-simulation model. This model combines control strategy and finite element model (FEM) of motor, which can consider the effects of magnetic saturation and rotor position. It shows that with the suitable passing neutral section method, the high speed train can pass the neutral section with less speed drop, less torque shock and no DC link voltage rise.
