Abstract
The wide area response based transient stability real-time detection and emergency control technology has become a hotspot in power system stability research field. Currently several different-principle technologies have been proposed, but there are lots of problems needed to be solved before they are applied in power systems. A wide area response based transient stability detection analysis and simulation software was developed. It is an effective tool for the comparison and analysis of validity and practicability of these transient stability detection technologies. The framework, function modulus and engineering applications are presented. According to measured perturbed trajectory or the result of simulation software, it has implemented the assessment of these methods and visual result presentation. The software has convenient file management, extensible transient stability detection modules and cases batch calculation. The application in actual power system shows that it has a good use value and greatly improves power system operators´ work efficiency.
