  • Abstract
Because the microgrid´s varied operation states and the application of inverter micro sources, failure characteristics may be quite different when the microgrid in different states. Microgrid feeder protection configuration is a problem to be solved. To solve this problem, the application of the adaptive current protection policies in the microgrid feeder protection was studied. System model was established and simulated. The emulational results showed that when the microgrid operation state changed, the protection equipment could adjust setting values of current in time according to the adaptive current fast-tripping protection strategy. The protection strategy is simple and does not require communication devices. It offers a solution for solving the problem that the microgrid feeder protection setting value is difficult to determine.
