Abstract
The paper proposes a statistical analysis of some semiautomatic determined parameters as step length, angles between different body segments and velocity. The purpose of this analysis is to create a model of human locomotion using a formal representation of knowledge obtained from video which can be used in medicine for identification of some disabilities, movement analysis in sports and also for path planning of autonomous systems. The experiments were made using a video collection which describes three types of human locomotion: walking, jogging and running. The analysis allows identifying some characteristics which are specific for each type of movement.
