Abstract
From aerospace to automotive, and from telecommunications to medical devices, high reliability and performance driving systems are required [2]. The present paper aims the design and analysis of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM) with external rotor topology for direct-driven compact centrifugal pump systems. The whole CAD process, using both analytical and numerical methods is described. Two PM polarization patterns are considered and the performances of the machines are compared.
