Abstract
Based on the analysis of cascading behaviors for inter-domain routing system, a cascading failure model for inter-domain routing system is proposed. Model introduced a new metric named IRS betweenness to define node´s initial load. To simulate the fact of system, node´s restart delay and BGP update lifetime are introduced. Finally, experiments are carried out on the basis of data collected publicly. These experiments mainly focus on the difference between IRS betweenness with other node´s measurement, the differnence between our model and traditional cascading failure model and the influences under different attack policies. Moreover, research findings can provide useful guidance and reference for the analysis and improvement for the security of inter-domain routing system.
