Abstract
Expression education that improves the imagination and communication skills of learners has been gaining acceptance. Education is currently carried out in a “one-to-many” environment. Therefore, it is not clear whether each learner is able to achieve his/her educational objectives through expression education, because it requires a class environment in which a teacher can engage in one-on-one communication with a learner. In this paper, we propose a robot that can support expression education in a one-to-one environment. We conducted an experiment to verify the effectiveness of the robot. The results show that the robot provides the same effectiveness when engaging in expression education as does a human teacher.
