Abstract
We propose an indoor visible light communication system model in the paper. By researching several kinds of commonly used modulation methods through the analysis of two channels: diffuse and LOS channels, we established a general indoor visible light communication transmission model and the corresponding modulation communication mode under the condition. A solution to improve intersymbol interference caused by multipath effect by using optical OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is put forward. The simulation results show that different modulation mode shall be selected in accordance with the demand of the system. OOK-RZ coding can improve intersymbol interference but the effect is not obvious. Using OFDM can reduce the BER and better improve the system performance. This study based on the research of the system channels gives a method to reduce the bit error rate so as to improve the transmission rate of the system.
