Abstract
In this paper, a broadband circularly polarized Fabry-Perot resonator antenna with simple array thinning technique is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of a single layer partially reflective surface formed by ring FSS and a four sequential rotated sparse primary radiators backed with ground. A prototype antenna operating at 10GHz is designed. Simulation results show that a common frequency bandwidth of 12% for S11 ≤ -10dB and gain-drop ≤ 2 dB and axial ratio ≤ 3 dB is obtained.
