  • Abstract
This paper depicts the electrical performance of the bifacial PV module at multiple sun conditions. The integration of the bifacial module into a new static Sea Shell concentrator have been accomplished to take the benefits from a large range of acceptance angle (+36° to -36°) and an average optical gain 2.815. The dependency of the short circuit current (Isc), maximum power output (Pm), and efficiency (η) on the incident angle of illumination and optical gain of the concentrator have been analyzed in this manuscript. Simulation of the performance parameters of the bifacial module has been accomplished to estimate the average electrical output from summer to winter solstice. It has been possible to obtain more than 180 % enhancement in Isc, 250 % in Pm, and 35 % in η from the rear surface of the module when integrated into Sea Shell concentrator. The effect of the series resistance (Rs) on the Pm and η of the bifacial PV module has also been reported.
