Research on High Efficient Ray Casting Algorithm Based on VTK

The three-dimensional visualization of medical images can provide the basis for the doctor´s diagnosis, and has good application prospect in medical diagnosis. According to the characteristics of human skeletal image, first of all, Gaussian filter is used to remove noise from the image while preprocessing the image. Secondly, the fast ray casting algorithm is applied to realize the 3D visualization of medical image. Experimental results indicate that the reconstructed results can clearly show the lesion area, consistent with the actual situation.
